Hell, porsche had their highest profit margins ever just a few years ago because of the Cayenne and Macan

2018-07-23 19:54:15 UTC

sad

2018-07-23 19:54:46 UTC

part of me can't wait for driverless cars so the car industry basically dies

2018-07-23 19:57:07 UTC

with all the bs emissions shit out there I'm surprised they haven't started to fuck suvs over hard

2018-07-23 20:54:27 UTC

Eh.

2018-07-23 20:54:42 UTC

Not getting into that argument

2018-07-23 21:05:11 UTC
2018-07-23 21:38:03 UTC

it's a shame diesels will probably be banned for non commercial vehicles in Europe within 20 years

2018-07-23 22:06:39 UTC

wich is sad, as the new diesel engines are almost in the negative emissions at least on trucks

2018-07-23 23:12:03 UTC

nox is the problem

2018-07-23 23:12:39 UTC

bosch supposedly have something that cuts nox massively but it's not been implemented yey

2018-07-23 23:12:41 UTC

yet

2018-07-24 01:05:39 UTC

Diesel is best

2018-07-24 01:06:03 UTC

I am endlessly salty that you eurofags get all the good ones and we get nothing.

2018-07-24 01:06:16 UTC

Even the ones we do get are castrated.

2018-07-24 01:06:49 UTC

I mean the bmw 3.0d makes 255hp here but it makes, what, 300+ hp in europe?

2018-07-24 01:07:00 UTC

Definitely 300 at the crank.

2018-07-24 01:27:28 UTC

@LordCaledus Yeah, but the Euros can't drive around a Cummins in the middle of a big city.

2018-07-24 01:28:04 UTC

This is true

2018-07-24 01:28:30 UTC

Kind of wish there was a market for diesel muscle cars tbh.

2018-07-24 01:28:57 UTC

Bmw 760d and the audi 4.0tdi show quite well that you can make a sporty diesel.

2018-07-24 01:29:47 UTC

I would personally love to see a 370-390hp 5.0 cummins option for a challenger or charger R/T

2018-07-24 01:30:41 UTC

Like as an optional engine for the R/T, where you can choose the 5.7 hemi or 5.0 cummins

2018-07-24 01:30:46 UTC

I've heard bad things about the 5.0

2018-07-24 01:31:00 UTC

Isnt it a new engine?

2018-07-24 01:31:12 UTC

I expect bad things from it when new tbh

2018-07-24 01:31:30 UTC

Besides, that would just make it fit in even better with fca

2018-07-24 01:32:00 UTC

I don't usually expect Cummins to put out a new engine without enough testing

2018-07-24 01:32:27 UTC

Id love to see an engine out there that was released with all the bugs fixed

2018-07-24 01:32:43 UTC

I certainly dont know of any off the top of my head

2018-07-24 01:33:43 UTC

Most of the historical problems with Cummins engines were had when people went above and beyond their intended purpose, pushing 700-1000hp on stock internals.

This 5.0 is having issue right off the line

2018-07-24 01:33:55 UTC

Eh

2018-07-24 01:34:07 UTC

2007 to 2010 5.9s had issues

2018-07-24 01:34:28 UTC

Frankly so did the 6.7 when it first came off the line iirc

2018-07-24 01:34:41 UTC

Its rock solid now, but it didnt used to be

2018-07-24 01:35:04 UTC

The europeans here probably have no idea what we're talking about lol

2018-07-24 01:35:20 UTC

Probabaly

2018-07-24 01:35:33 UTC

Anyone in south america or dubai wouod tho

2018-07-24 01:35:40 UTC

They love the 5.9 in dubai

2018-07-24 02:09:03 UTC

I'm not sure how many diesels you guys have driven but it doesn't make for an exciting drive

2018-07-24 02:09:26 UTC

yes they're torquey as fuck but that doesn't translate to an enjoyable driving experience
