6th to 4th is extra

I enjoy it in my 150lb ft cruze
And its not like i would never buy gas either
My fav engine thus far that i have driven is the 4.0 v6 in my dad's fj cruiser
Look... What i like doing on the highway is kicking diwn to 4th gear, hitting the gas, and letting the torque haul me up to the desired soeed. Speed, Is it slower? Yes. Idc. I love it
But that doesnt mean i wouldnt like a diesel better in certain cases
it's the fire that really makes things fun

Like i just get my cruze to 3k rpm, surf the torque to 4k, then downshift.
the audi r10 is probably the best sounding diesel vehicle and even that wouldn't make a top 50 list if petrol was included
My only gripe is that the cruze's econobox transmission has such a huge rpm drop between 4th and 5th
Sometimes i wonder why 5th gear even exists on this car
Too long a gear to bother with for speed in a car with only 145lb ft of torque stock

Same reason the top gears exist in any car on the market.

It serves the same purpose, safe fuel, do better on government regulated tests.

5th is pointless
5th gear is a direct drive gear.
That would be 4th gear on my car
4th is direct
