No that's an abomination
concept cars are all bs anyway, barely anything ever comes out looking like the concepta
concepts
Not exactly true
Concept cars usually are an artistic ideal or flagship for the next generation of styling for the vehicles. Cues are taken from it for all over the lineup
concept cars are usually revealed as a potential new model, yet once the models reach production they rarely represent the concept from which they were built on, it's the car industry equivalent of when a "demo" for a game is shown comprising of pre rendered footage that the game engine can't produce
hell look at the difference between the supra concepts from like 2016 compared to the final product, it looks like the designer was fired and the designs he did were drooled over by the retard replacement, then made into production
That's a bad comparison, imo
It's more like a fashion show dress
Obviously it's not meant to be seen in the real world
you can buy what is on show at a fashion show
concept cars basically don't exist, they're dumb fake mockups to generate interest which usually lead to disappointment
it looks like the chinese car company knockoffs
like honestly if I didnt know any better I would think a chinese car company was just doing the standard copy procedure
lmfao
Okay, well I don't think this is a discussion with a right answer
I, for one, am not expecting the concept car to be reality
again, it goes back to them being like prerendered game trailers
I just told you
Have you *SEEN* a fashion show? Those dresses are crazy, and no one would ever wear that in the real world.
But the very small styling cues and details within are what's important, and that flows downhill into production.
It sets a *design language* for the coming generation of production vehicles to be inspired by
For example, the Mazda Vision Coupe
You'll probably see a bunch of similar styling in all of their cars in the next few years
yeah, concept cars contain "pointers"... I liked the wheels on the Nissan concept, didn't like the lack of visibility, although they made sure to hide the windscreen, so the rear could contain those aggressively sharp lines but have a softer front.
@Fitzydog I have seen a fashion show and my point stands, you can literally buy everything there and wear it yourself if you're so inclined; it works and is produced, allbeit for a hefty price. the garbage concept cars often don't work, they're sometimes practically just a 3d mockup made real and imo it's a deceptive practice; "look at this new concept for our new model, doesn't it look great!?" then they release some generic turdbox that has headlights the same and basically nothing else
this doesn't even include the concept cars that don't even reach production at all
I always struggle with the hypothetical question of r34 vs nsx
NSX, Senna is a hero of mine π
the nsx is probably the better car to drive, but the r34 gtr has so much power potential
So I heard there was an engine that somebody slapped on a F-150 that got 58 mpg
Apparently this news is 3 years old too
