gaming has indie stuff though, so they cant corner the market completely
and the more they fuck up, the more indie devs will be considered as options

My partner is a games animator and artist. He is not even considering the AAA market right now. He thinks AA is where it's at
i do too. im going through college to furfill my promise to get a degree. then ima ignore that and try to make it into indie or AA market

announcing this @ Blizzcon in front of their core audience shows that marketing does know nothing about their core audience
and they seem to have something in the pipeline for the diablo franchise (if what I heard is correct)
They should have come from the angle of "well we have something in the pipeline for diablo, but you know it's a long way ahead and we can't tell you more, but while you wait, why do you not try out our new diablo mobile as appetizer"

I think if anything we have these super powerful smartphones, we might as do something with it.
It's that there hasn't been a new Diablo title in years, and Diablo III had a ginormous shitshow of a launch when it came out.
