Hidden love feat unfortunate backstabbing by siblings to take over the throne of the skies turned into big misunderstanding turned into Venge becoming the embodiment for revenge.
TLDR : Skymage has loved Venge back when she still had her wings, he still loves her dearly to this day but the now VENGEFUL spirit doesn't care or can't have feelings anymore since she believes Sky was in on her murder attempt which lead her to lose her ability to fly RIP wings

I always found Sky's lines curious towards Venge whenever they were in game but now I know :/
