I'm mad at paradox
>release a broken update that cripples the game, and removes features that players loved, and that update has a $60 price tag to make it playable
>The phrase "TO DO" comes up hundreds of times in the code, meaning that they knew they had to do it but couldn't be bothered to fix it before release
>Go silent for a month
>Community points out all the flaws and is mildly infuriated at them, but are incredibly polite over it because they just want it fixed
>Paradox releases a statement saying that they've suffered from so much abuse and vitriol and now they don't have the passion to fix their broken product
>Huge swaths of the community buy this and start circle jerking about how rude and toxic everyone was being to the Devs
>Anyone who disagrees with paradox's statement is ironically enough subjected to vitriol and hate
>The game is still broken

I haven't even played the most recent update, because I literally cannot. It crashes for me because my laptop is shite
I haven't played Stellaris in 2 months, and given paradox's attitude, it's going to be a few more months before I even touch a new update
I'll be reverting my game back to 2.2 for sure
They lost 2/5ths of their active players in just 1 month, which is completely insane
I'm actually pretty upset over this as Stellaris was one of my favorite games, but paradox has neutered it and it looks like the community behind it is in a civil war over it
