You could probably benefit from having the Genesis explained to you though, JBP just finished Genesis.
>Hiram was the Phoenician artisan recorded as having been hired by King Solomon to design and supervise the building of the Jewish temple.
Does it contain any *information* though
One thing that atheists like to do is collect "problematic" quotes from the Bible, without ever bothering to check the context, or check to see if the argument has been debunked.
I've seen people taking Jesus out of context, to attribute a character from a parable to his own words, to say he defends slavery.
And then a dozen other atheists just nod their heads and agree. "Seriously guys, nobody double checked that claim?"
Do you believe the Bible provides a valid moral compass?
I do believe it does provide various moral lessons, yes, like many other fairy tales and mythological tales.
“If a man lies with a male as with a women, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives.”
Can you see why I don't like it yet? Seeing as it actively calls for genocide of people like me?
Good thing you're not an Israelite living under Moses.
Convenient dismissal
Keep in mind this shit was enforced for centuries
That's clearly not one of the good moral lessons. Saying it contains some good lessons isn't the same as it's all good moral lessons. And admitting it has problems, doesn't mean it's 100% problematic.
I'm sure mein Kampf has moral lessons in it too
Yeah, it was enforced in non-Judeo and non-christian societies too.
By other religionfags, yes
Other religions being just as shit as yours doesn't excuse you
Untill science can explain conscious I'm going to believe there is some higher power and I'm going with christianity.
Here's a life hack for you, give me *one* possible argument for the genocide of homosexuals that *isn't* religious
Lmao so you've already forfeitted the argument
It's the Jews that have to respond for the things they don't want to abandon.
"I don't know, therefore god"
Yea isn't it convenient though that Christians only started believing that in the last 200 years?
When it became inconvenient they just choose to stop believing parts of their holy book but still pretending it's "all true"?
If Christian's don't believe anything in the old testament then why dont they just not include it in the Bible?
would you niggers fuck off
Context.
this is dank memes
not <#372513679964635138>
Mostly because of prophecies predicting that the last prophet would come and change everything.
GN 👋
Also, context because Jesus was persecuted by the Jews that didn't like that he was claiming the old scriptures were now void.
Virgin Rose:
• Not even a soldier, just a mechanic
• A slave child but not a person like Anakin
• Tries to steal Finn from Rey; homewrecker
• Wimpy human that’s out of shape
• Sister was cooler despite only having one scene and immediately dying afterwards
• Fucks up Holdo’s plan and nearly wipes out the entire Resistance
CHAD CHAD BINX:
• Gungan Master Race
• Sick tongue action
• Accomplished Senator
• Warhero and savior of the Naboo AND multiple other planets during the Clone Wars
• Secretly a Sith Lord that controls the Galaxy
• Always manages to save the day
• Helped free slaves instead of being one
• Comic relief
• Declared as “the key to all of this” by George Lucas himself
No point arguing with a scaley nigger like daniel
For a more precise answer, Paul said the role of the Old Testament is to tell us about the nature of god.
I have in my possession a drawn image of Jon Aryan Jafari in a SS uniform performing a roman salute while receiving oral sex from two of the characters of Yooka-Laylee. Can you give me one reason why I should consider the Bible more relevant than this image.
Just in case you thought I was kidding
