lmao actually using Switzerland as an example
completely different culture
Swiss gun laws are extremely strict and regulated
People there aren't shootin tootin rednecks
Military service is mandatory, so they have proper gun instruction, not to mention compulsory tests, mental and theoretical when acquiring a firearm
And American rednecks aren't gunning each other down
<:makes_you_think:382980749780844554>
25% of the guns "owned" are because people are in the military and get to store them at home
yeah, but you can literally buy a gun at every corner street, legally or not
@Capitán Alatriste I have a video for you lol

Cool
I don't like styxen´s vids, he's just obnoxious and is pretty much like CNN jumping at every meaningless story there is to bash the other side
🤷🏻
I'll watch it though for courtesy
Tbf he did draw on the police and they did try to disarm him before shooting
Doesnt make the wider context better but its a situation where you gotta blame the law and not the police
Zomg thumbs up new international dogwhistle for white supremacy!?
In other news: "Sovereignty bad, Collectivism good. Says smarty people."
Lol
Though you could argue a psuedo nationalism did cause ww2.
Hitler, Mussilini and Hirohito warer nationalists in their own right. Though twisted forms.
But so were most of the allies leadership
Yes, but it wasn’t really the nationalism. It was the imperialism that caused the war since the invasions are what caused the actual declarations of war. Hell, the US still traded oil and other goods with Italy even while they were fascist and super nationalist.
"It was nationalism because the factions involved organized themselves into nations"
Although in this day and age, nationalism might cause wars since merely wanting to keep your sovereignty is enough for the globalists to break down your doors with floods of migrants to irreversibly change your demographics.
Tbh you can be nationalistic and imperialistic. Honedtly imprrialism requires a good deal of nationalism to survive. As well trade and even foriegn relations doesnt negate nationalism. Even nationalist countries know they are short on some resources and have to trade for them
So, nationalism and imperialism aren't really related
Basically
And imperialism doesnt equate globalism either. Tbh. But anywho.
I never said that you couldn’t be both at the same time
If you were speaking to me, that is
The reason i say nationalism was a massive driver towards ww2. Was post ww1 germany was a broken country. But hitler found something to bring it back and energize its people. Nationalism.
Post ww1 Japan felt austrocized. Though they did a lot to aid in ww1 on the entantes side they were all but ignored when it came to the treary of versalles. And this bred a deep seeded hate for the globalist powers. Driving them further into a nationalist imperial spirit.
Italy was just an oddball. They were nationalistm but our president at the time (the former sec of the navy that pushed for us to endlter ww1 earlier than we did) was a huge fan of musallinis. So of course we wouldnt stop trade. We also traded with japan and germany tbh for quite some time.
It also didnt help during the building of power and early years of the agression of those powers the us was suffering hard from the depression
So we took any money we could get.
But I’m saying that if they just remained nationalistic, there wouldn’t have been that war. Nationalism was a driver behind the real cause of the war, which was imperialism, I agree, but the actual issue is the imperialism.
If anything where ww1 was the clash of multiple budding globalisms. Ww2 was globalism and nationalism coming into conflict
