How harsh are your policies
do people get in trouble for talking during class?
Extremely
what's the disciplining of children who get in fights?
Depends on conversation topic and teacher
Or repeat offenses
@Fitzydog my take on the dude getting kicked In the balls in the painting
give me a couple scenarious @haserd2
trying to understand how this works
*did you get the notes for last class*
Vs *nigger*
Kid gets bullied, and someone punches him on the playground
One is more zero tolerance
everyone gets in trouble for saying shit like nigger/spic/etc
Kid fights back in self defense, and both are suspended
but like more general stuff you know
like general talking
do people get punished for that
Depends on the teacher
that's extremely homosexual. @Fitzydog
do american schools combat bullying in any way
@haserd2 These are not teach dependent. These are district policies
Off personal experience a teacher can designate weather to follow the policy or not
Some may give warnings for talking rather than outright detention
Others do the opposite
Some treat basic questions between students as full on classroom disruptions. No matter what the convo was about
As I'm aware, around here, the schools are a bueracratic nightmare where the teachers are obligated to follow specific policies and have practically no personal discretion
Some teachers and even principals can be cool, though. But yeah, they are bureaucratic nightmares.
I was being heavily bullied by a group of kids, and the leader was getting increasingly violent with me. I asked the principal what she’d do if I hit him in self-defense, and she said that she’d have to give us both the same punishment, but she’d then take me out for ice cream on her personal time.

This was back in elementary
And also, lovin’ the pun there. Nice one.
