i read that bit about natural law, still can't get my head around it
probably because i'm not in the right mindset
i just read over the last bit of that convo, and it's clear that you dont get it
I do not believe that morality can be called objective, because it does not exist beyond us. If that makes sense.
less of a question and more of a feeling of not understanding
What confuses you?
but then again, i should have been asleep for quite a while now
ohhh
you need sleep to think
Well, I'm sort of the local expert on natural rights here, so ttyl
woke at 10am and its 3am now
also completely ignoring the sociology class in hs didn't help
It probably did
i thought that thing wasn't helpful
Yours probably would have ruined you
They taught that shit in highschool where you live?
just for a year and one single class only
once a week
and i think it was in 2nd year?
Dunno if I am lucky or was not well educated by modern standards lol
It was probably about positive rights, and marxism, and other junk
probably
i remember one of the contents was about socrates or something
it was waaaaaaay too long ago
8 years i think
That sounds more like Philosophy.
that
it was that
Philosophy is great
@nyuuns2 Anyways, go to bed on this:
The most important right you have, is the right to self defense.
And with that right, comes a responsibility to defend yourself.
Surprised they taught it in highschool though
too bad that i think my school book is back at my mom's
i agree with that fitzy
Literally everything else derives from that
its just that if you get someone else involved then i think things need to be relative
Unless you want to die but, then I won't sympathize
or else i can't seem to wrap my head around it
Nothing relative about defending your personal property
it was more on the angle of morals
