What happened to the stiff upper lip? That resolve to never surrender? I have never been so disappointed in a country that I ak not a part of than I am now of the UK.

Isn't it frustrating to just sit and watch? Hoping somekne else has enough power to do something? That the world will regain its senses?
I think Americans underestimate how important what happens in Europe is to our own culture. Our politicians often point to Scandinavia and Germany as examples of what the 'rest of the world' does.
I.E. how we should be.
If everyone else adopts a backwards view of the world, we will eventually become convinced that WE are the weird ones, and join them.
Our population is rapidly being replaced by migrants who never developed a full understanding of Americana. Just what they see on TV. These are tomorrow's teachers, fathers, mothers, doctors, company managers. Advertisers and economists. Authors. And they do not understand, to begin with, how and why America is the way it is. How it got here. They just accept the bare-boned, revised history that they are shown. They have no ancestors to tell them differently, and now the rest of society is being told to keep quiet, and keep the skeletons in the closet - along with our living breathing past.
Well, that was one hell on an essay.
Actually, it sounds a tad like a Paul Joseph Watson video. Just add the phrase “imagine my shock” in somewhere and it’s good to go.

Well, clearly not. lol
We died and died and died and DIED for this. Starved. Journeyed to places where nobody would be there to help you. We made this New World our home, and we accepted the incredible price we were forced to pay in order to do so. We used it as inspiration, a source of pride and motivation, to continue the great journey that began so long ago. So many joined that journey along the way. We never welcomed them. We always tried to push them away, because they had not paid the prices we had. But they persisted. They stood with us and through the test of time, gained oir admiration, acceptance, and respect. We embraced their cultures as our own, for they had, in a way, truly become a part of ours. We were not limited to the narrow-minded kingdoms of the Old World, with its lengthy history that was more often than not, forgotten by its own people, yet still used as valid reasons for further wars and suffering.
Our bit of dirt was infinitely precious to us. Because how many did not want it themselves? How many tried to press claims upon it? We even fought each other for it, many times. But we always, for better or for worse, mended the wounds that we ripped open, leaving the scars to heal with time, as reminders of the bloody struggles we fought for selfish desires. Now, we pave over the scars, remove mention of them, and deny that there were valid grievances and equal suffering on both sides of the divide. We cover monuments with tarps, and move them to warehouses. We rewrite our school books to make ourselves appear more and more shameful. One-sidedly so. Yes. We were shameful. But also desperate. We fought one another because circumstance dictated it, moreso than our perceived differences. We were unkind, and we wept for one another, and we also sometimes hid our bitterness deep within our hearts as we suffered our humiliations, for the good of the Union. We made attempts to let the past inform us and remind us, but not to lead us. We held HOPE! HOPE that tomorrow would be different! That our children would improve upon the slow progress that we made, looking at the scars we left behind as a warning, and as a beacon. To be proud, yet humble. To make sacrifice when necessary, so that those scars would remain sealed.
But today, O, today! We are no longer content to simply pave over the cracked scars, just to forget them. No. Even worse, we seek to intentionally pry the cracks apart, disregarding the sutures paid in blood and bone. We make spectacle. "Come one, come all! Come and witness the atrocity of the people of America! THIS is your 'New World Order!' A bedrock of deceit! See how we paved over these holes, these wounds, that had never mended?" we ask, hefting the still-bloodied pickaxes upon our shoulders, having finally excavated the past open once again. "This is all we ever were, and it shall be all we will ever be! Progress? Journey? Where do you see that? Is it not just human suffering? The betterment of oneself was merely greed, and the struggle and bleeding for the land was merely theft!"
