No, because of our universal morality which we progressed towards

2019-02-04 02:36:09 UTC

you obviously haven't gone to church

2019-02-04 02:36:10 UTC

so morality has changed?

2019-02-04 02:36:19 UTC

Why do you think you believe we are better today than back then?

2019-02-04 02:36:34 UTC

because we have changed our attitudes and laws

2019-02-04 02:36:38 UTC

but @Fitzydog , le noble savage

2019-02-04 02:36:38 UTC

Evolving =/= Changing

2019-02-04 02:36:41 UTC

No, not that

2019-02-04 02:37:31 UTC

You know we are better today than back then, because we are closer to the moral standard that we consider to be 'superior'

2019-02-04 02:37:54 UTC

Thus, there's a morally superior position

2019-02-04 02:38:24 UTC

Although, the last 90 years has been a reversal imo

2019-02-04 02:38:51 UTC

Isn't that they key term **that we consider**

2019-02-04 02:39:23 UTC

You mean all society? The agreed upon superior position?

2019-02-04 02:39:43 UTC

Why do third world countries aspire to be like us?

2019-02-04 02:39:44 UTC

I have the perfect example on why the EU centralisation don't work. They did make new directive for snow removal, it says that no snow removal vehicle cant drive faster the 40kmh, that works fine where it snows ones per 10 year. but as Norway is part of the EEA deal we are forced to follow it as well and the end result was that several villages are getting isolated from roads closing as the new snow removal rules don't allow for effective snow removal any more

2019-02-04 02:39:45 UTC

What about other cultures such as the Japanese or Korean? They believe that they have achieved the closest to their superior morals

2019-02-04 02:39:59 UTC

I would agree with them

2019-02-04 02:40:08 UTC

So far, they're on track for the best

2019-02-04 02:40:29 UTC

japan have so little crime you don't need to lock you bike

2019-02-04 02:40:36 UTC

so then there isn't a universal morality, just different ones interpreted differently by each culture

2019-02-04 02:40:51 UTC

Are you just ignoring what I'm saying?

2019-02-04 02:41:05 UTC

And they are right. They have achieved it. Why do you think they have low crimes and are super against illegal immigration?

2019-02-04 02:41:16 UTC

You would love to live under Japan's society

2019-02-04 02:41:17 UTC

You're saying that there is the one objective universal superior morality which we all aspire to reach

2019-02-04 02:41:23 UTC

Yes

2019-02-04 02:41:29 UTC

Yes ofc

2019-02-04 02:41:30 UTC

Which I disagree with

2019-02-04 02:41:41 UTC

Freedom and fairness for all

2019-02-04 02:41:44 UTC

Wouldn't you love to live in Japan?

2019-02-04 02:41:57 UTC

I don't have much to say on living in Japan

2019-02-04 02:42:04 UTC

Oh come on

2019-02-04 02:42:14 UTC

they don't want the soy

2019-02-04 02:42:16 UTC

Japan isn't a county of equality, it's a country that offers all equal starting positions, whether you reach them isn't up to the state rather up to yourself. Japan is also a country notorious for having different cultural norms to those of the west, where we favour more family they favour more work and social standing.

2019-02-04 02:44:11 UTC

Yeah, that's equality

2019-02-04 02:44:47 UTC

They don't like Equality of Outcome for a reason lol

2019-02-04 02:44:51 UTC

the term equality which people, often on the far left, tend to fling around revolves more on equality of outcome, not of start

2019-02-04 02:45:05 UTC

No, that's equity

2019-02-04 02:45:15 UTC

Which is immoral
