@Fitzydog That's sort of how I'm looking at it. If they were writing their stories like this and claiming everyone as alt-right as a tactic, they'd have to see the effects and know it isn't working, so they'd shift gears and go with something else.
But they don't. They keep doubling down, slamming their foot on the gas, and driving themselves off a cliff to their own doom. They have to have drunk the koolaid twice over for them to be this invested in the narrative.

That's because the uprising is mostly silent. Look back at Trump 2016. No poll was capable of predicting it, the only people who were saying Trump would win were his core base and like 5 other people.
It was a complete upstart because all the people who came out to vote Trump had kept completely quiet up until that point, they didn't play their hand up until the end of the game.
