No room for interpretation of scripture. Hell, the biggest divide is over who Muhommad's rightful successor was

2018-10-15 06:12:32 UTC

i have a super christian friend who described islam as 'satan's religion'. i laughed at him years ago. the more i read on it though, the more i find myself agreeing with him. if you wanted to control an entire population to make them do evil in the name of good, you couldnt do much better than islam

2018-10-15 06:13:38 UTC

It's the only modern religion that I honestly believe was founded in bad faith

2018-10-15 06:14:09 UTC

scientology... but yes, islam is worse

2018-10-15 06:14:50 UTC

Judaism is essentially a collection of Hebrew folktales and customs

2018-10-15 06:15:00 UTC

Mormonism.

2018-10-15 06:15:05 UTC

True

2018-10-15 06:15:33 UTC

Although I suppose we could argue that it's just a twisted denomination of Christianity, while Islam is its own thing

2018-10-15 06:15:55 UTC

isnt mormonism basically christianity + aliens?

2018-10-15 06:16:32 UTC

Yeah, and if I remember right, it was founded by a con artist.

2018-10-15 06:16:39 UTC

Christianity took a lot of the more complicated stuff from Judaism and streamlined it into an easily marketed package

2018-10-15 06:16:46 UTC

It was basically Judaism for normies

2018-10-15 06:16:54 UTC

islam is not it's own thing about 70% of it is stolen whole cloth a reimagining of the torah

2018-10-15 06:17:28 UTC

Well, most Mormons would call themselves Christian

2018-10-15 06:17:45 UTC

hell the book even refers to a bunch of text in the bible and torah as required reading

2018-10-15 06:17:57 UTC
2018-10-15 06:18:01 UTC

thats scientology. that was founded by a con artist

2018-10-15 06:18:04 UTC

I guess this is more a matter of self-identification

2018-10-15 06:19:58 UTC

When you rip out all the "borrowed" elements from the Torah and the Bible, Islam is almost purely political

2018-10-15 06:20:00 UTC

good night f a g s

2018-10-15 06:20:39 UTC

where does wahabi-ism come from?

2018-10-15 06:20:46 UTC

saudi

2018-10-15 06:21:05 UTC

I know that the big denominatonal split in Islam is over who should have succeeded Muhommad after he died

2018-10-15 06:21:41 UTC

thats the shia, suni spilt Wahabi and Salafist are another thing

2018-10-15 06:22:22 UTC

How did those come about?

2018-10-15 06:22:33 UTC

rules on going to heaven

2018-10-15 06:23:28 UTC

all Wahabi's think suicide is fine for war jihad and are suni, but not all suni think suicude for war is ok.

2018-10-15 06:23:53 UTC

i might have the suni thing wrong but you get the point

2018-10-15 06:24:11 UTC

Interesting, considering there's not a whole lot of room for subjectivity in Islam

2018-10-15 06:24:14 UTC

yall speaking w e e b

2018-10-15 06:24:22 UTC

but what do you define as good?

2018-10-15 06:24:29 UTC

Meanwhile, Christianity forks itself over the most autistic shit

2018-10-15 06:24:32 UTC

かたかな

2018-10-15 06:24:42 UTC

to an islamist, raping a woman who wears skimpy clothes is a good thing

2018-10-15 06:24:51 UTC

and they would think they can go to heaven

2018-10-15 06:24:52 UTC

Clearly feminist

2018-10-15 06:25:09 UTC

No wonder it's the religion of male feminists

2018-10-15 06:26:24 UTC

it funny, ever since getting into touhou, ive learned a lot about eastern religions. buddism, taoism, shintoism

2018-10-15 06:26:40 UTC

Nah, I think they knew exactly what they were doing when they made the Koran

2018-10-15 06:26:44 UTC

and they have some good ideas on what defines being a good person

2018-10-15 06:27:11 UTC

It's always fascinated me how western religions are collectivistic and eastern ones are individualistic
