fuck me

2018-10-23 07:35:46 UTC

Well, easy to make a live version of

2018-10-23 07:36:03 UTC

Literally all you have to do is put the iso on a flash drive, set the BIOS to boot from it, and bam

2018-10-23 07:36:13 UTC

Yes I know

2018-10-23 07:36:18 UTC

There are entire distributions built around just using it in that manner to troubleshoot stuff

2018-10-23 07:36:22 UTC

but it's linux ewie no can't do it boohoo

2018-10-23 07:37:02 UTC

Right now I'm working on my CPU oc

2018-10-23 07:37:05 UTC

>sfc /scannow if u think windows has missing shit

2018-10-23 07:37:12 UTC

32C peak load 😂

2018-10-23 07:37:33 UTC

I've already force checked windows

2018-10-23 07:37:40 UTC

I'm still stuck with Windows on my desktop because muh gaymin

2018-10-23 07:37:41 UTC

Done the diagnostic repair

2018-10-23 07:38:02 UTC

still nothing ? 😦

2018-10-23 07:38:18 UTC

What exactly is so wrong with Windows? What does Linux do that windows doesn't, other than a laundry list of minor inconveniences?

2018-10-23 07:38:31 UTC

A number of things

2018-10-23 07:38:43 UTC

stop being such an autistic retard

2018-10-23 07:38:51 UTC

no u

2018-10-23 07:39:00 UTC

was the problem recent?

2018-10-23 07:39:09 UTC

No

2018-10-23 07:39:10 UTC

My personal favorite is that Linux is highly modular. If you think any part is retarded, you can just swap it for something else. Think the file manager is AIDS? Use another one. Don't like the interface? Swap DEs

2018-10-23 07:39:20 UTC

we're not trying to convince to switch, I'm not at least

2018-10-23 07:39:52 UTC

Yes but is that *useful?* Is it worth slashing your software library?

2018-10-23 07:39:57 UTC

Windows is also a security nightmare for a myriad of reasons

2018-10-23 07:40:21 UTC

hardware than is good start to check but just make sure you dont have to many startup apps they really eat startup time

2018-10-23 07:40:29 UTC

and obviously it's entirely subjective and depends what you do with a computer

2018-10-23 07:40:47 UTC

Performance-wise Linux runs a lot better since there's less bloat. Privacy-wise, the entire code is open source and free to audit. No backdoors here.

2018-10-23 07:40:56 UTC

Yes, a lot of this comes down to what you value

2018-10-23 07:41:15 UTC

i can't do my job without Windows so I use Windows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

2018-10-23 07:41:21 UTC

But right now, the software library is literally the only reason I even entertain Windows, and that's shrinking by the day

2018-10-23 07:41:27 UTC

if I was primarily a software developer I would absolutely main Linux

2018-10-23 07:42:07 UTC

The only thing that handicaps me on my Linux laptop is processing power. Other than a few games, there's nothing I can't do on there that I can do on my Windows desktop

2018-10-23 07:42:49 UTC

Exactly, linux appeals to software developers, it is made by and for power users and not the general user

2018-10-23 07:43:03 UTC

and how is that an argument against anything?

2018-10-23 07:43:22 UTC

Because it's a headache to anyone who doesn't write code all day anyway

2018-10-23 07:43:57 UTC

<:what:382980756139409409>

2018-10-23 07:44:38 UTC

if you don't want to use Linux, don't use Linux - problem solved 👌

2018-10-23 07:45:32 UTC

You're the one defending it, not me

2018-10-23 07:45:41 UTC

but sperging out at the mere suggestion of booting another OS to verify computer issues

2018-10-23 07:45:44 UTC

is dumb as fuck

2018-10-23 07:45:58 UTC

The only person sperging out is you

2018-10-23 07:46:32 UTC

Sorry I offended your sacred OS
