Ideally 2 guys up to a squad so they don’t get surprised by cartel Hitmen.

2018-10-30 17:12:15 UTC

fireteam*

2018-10-30 17:12:33 UTC

Fire team is usually 4 to 5 with team leader

2018-10-30 17:12:55 UTC

Isn't nat guard both state and federal?

2018-10-30 17:13:01 UTC

But if within effective range and visibility they dont have to be next to each other to watch their backs

2018-10-30 17:13:23 UTC

I always heard a fireteam was 2 people that could do staggering advance or cover and retreat at bare minimum

2018-10-30 17:13:44 UTC

the ol' wiki says 2-4 tho

2018-10-30 17:13:46 UTC

No national guard is a state force. It can be requested to activate by the feds. But the state has to accept and the fed pays the state for it

2018-10-30 17:14:58 UTC

You could argue a "fireteam" is minimum 2 yes. But most "teams" in a squad are 3 to 4 with a team leaderm squads are 2 to 3 teams, platoons 3 to 4 squads so on

2018-10-30 17:16:03 UTC

When national guard goes to say basic and ait training. The state pays the fed for the costs

2018-10-30 17:19:56 UTC

I have to convince people national guard is State every time. I guess national part confuses people.

2018-10-30 17:19:57 UTC

But you may thinking of the Army Reserves. Those are federal but with almost a national guard setup. "1 weekend a month 2 weeks a year"

2018-10-30 17:20:22 UTC

Yea

2018-10-30 17:20:40 UTC

Probably the fact state guards aid each other a lot doesnt help either

2018-10-30 17:21:09 UTC

IE washington state guard went to Luisianna after katrina

2018-10-30 17:40:05 UTC

Make America white agian

2018-10-30 17:41:55 UTC

I think me might be off his tits on something. Like strong weed.

2018-10-30 17:42:11 UTC

@franti who the fuck is this brainlet

2018-10-30 17:43:50 UTC

@Angus use napalm, and as long as you’re not using it on people you should be good for war crimes and it’ll be a lot more time efficient than .50s

2018-10-30 17:43:53 UTC

@Goblin_Slayer_Floki Washington State guard isn't even a part of the US military, fyi

They're a humanitarian militia of sorts

2018-10-30 17:44:19 UTC

The washington state national guard?

2018-10-30 17:44:27 UTC

No, the State guard lol

2018-10-30 17:44:42 UTC

Oh i was meaning the states national guard

2018-10-30 17:44:49 UTC

oh, yeah sorry

2018-10-30 17:44:52 UTC

They were sent to katrina to aid

2018-10-30 17:47:30 UTC

there could be good old constant artillery going off randomly within the US border all along the mexican border

2018-10-30 17:47:45 UTC

random explosions deter people

2018-10-30 17:48:05 UTC
2018-10-30 17:48:11 UTC

why not just mine the border

2018-10-30 17:48:19 UTC

that'd probably work better

2018-10-30 17:48:37 UTC

but I really like the idea of constant explosions

2018-10-30 17:48:52 UTC

for 2000 miles

2018-10-30 17:49:25 UTC

5 minutes, randomly selected every day

2018-10-30 17:49:30 UTC

@Angus too costly in terms of ordnance and logistics

2018-10-30 17:49:34 UTC

I think the artillery corp needs some target practice

2018-10-30 17:49:34 UTC

oh, if it's only for 5 minutes

2018-10-30 17:49:47 UTC

but then after that five minutes, people would know it's safe

2018-10-30 17:50:03 UTC

so I'd recommend using airdropped/artillery deployed mines

2018-10-30 17:50:23 UTC

@Angus also much of the border is habitated

2018-10-30 17:50:26 UTC

and then not shelling the area, so that you don't set off the mines that are already there
