South Central Indiana, Southwest Ohio, and East Tennessee are the three hottest spots for actual TWP community development.
move to Paoli
Ohio's got the most career development shit going on, Knoxville's on fire, and Paoli contains the Matts.
The Matts are an overrated component of the TradWorker Project, though. This shit's viral.
look at this shit
lol
I do plan on moving there within a year
cheap land and all white
I'm a big fan. And, oddly enough, Paoli has a ski resort, a casino, a marina, and a pretty solid public school all in the county.
nice
So you get the whiteness that appalachian poverty guarantees without being totally deprived of things to do.
It looks like an amazing place to live and start a family
The big complaint about the place from folks who've moved from afar is how ugly we all are.
I thought I was handsome until I grew up and traveled around. Turns out I was only handsome for a Paolian.
That's one of the reasons I actually chose to live in town rather than rurally. I've got natural gas service and quality cable internet. You can achieve that without being right in town, but it requires some research and hustling.
Perfect
I work from home, so it doesn't really matter where I am
and I was shocked when I started looking up property values
Same here. I've got my van set up with a camping chair, folding table, and battery pack so I can even do my job while camping and traveling. As long as I've got 4G, I can be at work.
nice
Just bear in mind that the property values always match the local economy. Cost of living is low, but the job market's crappy. If you've got a sweet homesource job, you can make out like a bandit.
yeah I get paid NY wages
and work from home
IT
I bought 1.5 acres with a decent house (that needed repairs) and two livable mobile homes on it right in town for $52k. Can't achieve that kind of win where the economy's strong.
Just don't bring in Mexican landscapers and housecleaners when you come. 😄
Something like that would be 300K+ over here
probably over 400K
Ive got welding skills
The Ohio guys are big on metalwork.
Might want to hit up @Tony Hovater about that.
goverment pretty lax in ohio
