if it werent for Jordan my room would be less clean than it is

I don't understand Atheists and anti-religious people that think god does all the bad, things, or that he just lets things happen because he's an asshole. Wake up people (except prayer) God left humanity to it's own devices, that's if you believe in god that is.

2019-03-12 01:41:46 UTC

god does not exist

listen I understand its an apples to oranges comparison but I still wanna know - to those of you who like Jordan Peterson because of his rules / guidelines on how to live your best life and are libertarians, don't you kind of see the contradiction? I am no means arguing against or for any other political ideaologies but rather am interested in discussion

2019-03-12 01:42:31 UTC

I think you fundamentally misunderstand libertarians and ancaps

2019-03-12 01:43:26 UTC

i dont think so, but id be happy to hear you explain it in case im wrong

2019-03-12 01:43:41 UTC

And prayer isn't about making something you want happen or not happen, generally it works like this, if you pray for something and god answers it, this means god has given you the opportunity to make it happen, then rest is probably up to you.

@SGSlurrpinCum Well, to start, I'm having a hard time seeing where you're coming from about rules and libertarians.

What axiom are you working with where you get an idea like that?

2019-03-12 01:45:23 UTC

well, i mean to suggest that people find Peterson helpful because his rules on living life seem to nudge ppl into making better life decisions and Im proposing it's not dissimilar to the government's role in society, in this case when government intervention helps society

2019-03-12 01:45:53 UTC

Okay, so where's the contradiction?

2019-03-12 01:47:11 UTC

because the government can help ppl make their lives better in the same way Peterson does. But a libertarian would say due to S-D laws and human condition governments are inherently unhelpful

2019-03-12 01:47:30 UTC

S-D laws? What's that?

2019-03-12 01:48:09 UTC

Supply and Demand laws

2019-03-12 01:48:24 UTC

Ahh, gotcha

2019-03-12 01:48:29 UTC

the idea that things like taxes cause deadweight loss

2019-03-12 01:48:48 UTC

^ makes no sense sorry, I mean gov intervention causes deadweight loss

2019-03-12 01:49:23 UTC

Okay, so are you aware that Peterson's "12 rules" are just an extrapolation from most world religions?

2019-03-12 01:49:39 UTC

why do so many incels become furries?

2019-03-12 01:50:09 UTC

@Fitzydog I actually wasn't, thanks

Huh ?

2019-03-12 01:50:59 UTC

@SGSlurrpinCum Those 12 rules are exactly what Libertarians and AnCaps advocate *instead of* government.

2019-03-12 01:51:10 UTC

Hell’s a hebophile

2019-03-12 01:51:14 UTC
