depends what you mean by "failed." the movement has always been a tiny percentage of serious people up against a goliath of woke neoliberalism. when spencer et al propelled trump into the oval office with pepe memes, it was a great victory. but trump turned his back on this edgy based and drifted toward centrism. nick's answer to this is to direct all energy to supporting this man and "subverting" the republican party from within. i fail to see how this will manifest into anything other than a concession to mainsteam conservatives who want to riff off rightwing edginess. all nick will get in the end is a frankenstein monster of a party with some edgy elements, no realizable political goals that serve our interests
