i think its because most universities are technically "liberal arts" schools
even with giant physics and math departments

I woulda gone for PhD but my son was born and I wanted to make some money

works in app development and both undergrad and grad degree are math

I picked math over CS because I felt like I already knew how to code

I’m glad I took math for personal understanding like I can learn physics super easy because I have the math foundation
