Yes, that's why it has little effect. If you quit it, and start doing it again, you'll notice the effect.
The whole world is different
@Finntronaut Cup of coffee a day, somtimes a monster in the afternoon.
You will not believe it
@fuguer Sort of like Limitless.
Yes
You don't feel high, just aware.
You just realize you had cognitive biases that made you see reality in a certain way
But it’s not the only way
You might suddenly realize asking girls out is no big deal
Or succeeding in your job feels better than wasting time playing video games
And once you’ve seen the world like that you’ve unlocked a lot of possibilities
@bird Don't even watch anime because my attention span is that bad.
yikes
youre a zoomer?
>not watching anime
practice reading books
Yeah reading books is good for attention span
I used to read a book a day
I have above average reading capability, was always above the rest of my class in school.
When I was a kid
Like 600 page novels
Damn juniper doesnt grow in my shithole
Sad
I have juniper in my backyard
Gin
I think it's the expectation of success that creates nervousness. If you don't care about succeeding or not, you'll probably have a higher chance of success because of the confidence that comes with it. You tell yourself "It's okay if this girl rejects me."
everything they make now, films, tv shows, documentaries, are catered to make peoples attention span even shorter. notice in old movies scenes lasted for a while, there was facial expressions, subtlety and hints. now theres just mindless chatter, flashing lights, different unrelated scenes, catered to zoomer brains who spend all their time looking at 5 second screens
I think have confidence in eventual success but see it as a process don’t expect success every time
@Weaboo Kempeitai true as a kid in 4th grade i was reading at 3rd year uni student
Just like job interview
level
You won’t land every job or every date
you can rid yourself of this by reading books basically, learning to leave other stuff out of your brain and train yourself to be present in what you do
I am a big fan of running as my form of meditation
My body is occupied and my mind just floats and thinks
