or what god would want
Morality comes from man, and man alone.
This is why religion and morals come from God
discovering is not the same as inventing
man with his ego will endlessly debate these things never getting anywhere
It may well be a product or our biology, perhaps intended by God, perhaps not.
and it's not the same as subjective
Believing in subjective morality without God is still less illogical than thinking you can prove objective morality without God
Yes
and since man is not universal, no morals will be found as such
When did I assert objective morality?
I didnt
Banjod does
Perhaps not.
and he proves it by saying "you're soooo slow" and "I just know" a lot
Selfish genes?
it requires a level of honesty you rpobably don't have
Maybe we do literally just know.
that's the problem
Maybe we're literally programmed to have certain moral beliefs.
yes
but God knows what is best, he knows like a father is wise over his children and guides them with advice for their own wellbeing.
Children at first don't listen, but eventually they see his love and wisdom and their ears open and their minds expand as gifts unto themselves.
@Weaboo Kempeitai that would still imply biological wiring, and biological components are not a valid foundation for morality
evolution is arbitrary
Some ideas are just too difficult to articulate without misrepresenting them.
I think biology can explain morality.
then it's a shitty idea
Biology can explain subjective morality
but not objective morality
Yes, there is no objective morality. It seems like Banjod is wrong there.
my subjective morality is the objective reality
😤
lol
the problem comes from thinking you should invent them
or that god has them
it's if god was real
waht would he do
Subjective morals can be explained by evolution but there is no morality that exists independent of our minds. I don't see it.
morals comes from teh best results
biology can explain it's imperatives and emergent functions. This you can make arguments for dogmatic morals but it can't be used to prove or justify universal morality
