i think there are a lot of people who would do much better things if they were born in a different time and place
a lot of talented people whose possibilities are wasted
or they have a detrimental effect because of the system of incentives around them
and conversely,
a lot of people are in positions of power and responsibility by fluke and do nothing or even make things worst
