so what

2020-02-03 22:49:08 UTC

so what if people were wrong

2020-02-03 22:49:23 UTC

But I do suggest reading the pdf I linked. It's worth considering if only for formulating a counter argument.

2020-02-03 22:49:40 UTC

ok i might read it when i get back from school

2020-02-03 22:49:45 UTC

Ok

2020-02-03 22:49:51 UTC

I have to get back to work, lol

2020-02-03 22:50:14 UTC

God bless, my friend

2020-02-03 22:50:45 UTC

but alot of what you have been saying is "oh there are a million different interpretations how do you know yours is the right one " this can be used against anything, and we dont accept it when atheists do it

2020-02-03 22:50:53 UTC

so im not going to accept it when you do it

2020-02-03 22:54:24 UTC

Well, I guess that's sort of a preamble to the punchline

2020-02-03 22:54:37 UTC

Which is to say there is a clear and consistent way to determine if the interpretation is correct

2020-02-03 22:55:15 UTC

the holy spirit guides those that are genuinely seeking

2020-02-03 22:55:17 UTC

And that is what has the church and all of its consistently holy people throughout a thousand years have agreed upon?

2020-02-03 22:55:26 UTC

and god forgives us trespasses

2020-02-03 22:55:42 UTC

for we can never know goodness completely, for only god knows

2020-02-03 22:55:48 UTC

but we can get into the general ballpark

2020-02-03 22:56:22 UTC

and this is why catholics sperging about sola scritura is just dumb

2020-02-03 22:56:26 UTC

they just dont understand it

2020-02-03 22:56:44 UTC

also sola fide vs works and faith

2020-02-03 22:56:46 UTC

Real Sola scriptura has never been tried?

2020-02-03 22:56:51 UTC

Sorry that was

2020-02-03 22:56:54 UTC

Mean

2020-02-03 22:56:55 UTC

i try to explain that works come from faith

2020-02-03 22:57:17 UTC

but they pretend there is a big difference

2020-02-03 22:57:32 UTC

because they have to dogmatically support church dotrine

2020-02-03 22:57:35 UTC

doctrine

2020-02-03 22:57:39 UTC

and cant get over the reformation

2020-02-03 22:57:40 UTC

anyways

2020-02-03 22:57:45 UTC

im going to school

2020-02-03 22:57:59 UTC

Good luck have fun, I will talk with you later because this has been an interesting conversation

2020-02-03 23:25:28 UTC

Holy shit. Sorry @Skellington I forgot I started this discussion and went with my errands. I really don't know what to think because both sides of the argument have some point. Before I say what might be appealing for me in paganism I would say what makes me doubt Christianity, I will put it short expand later if needed. It is objectively speaking foraging, it was adopted. Certain Christian teachings (but that might the fault of misinterpretation of those teachings by people who are teaching them, so not necessarily teachings themselves), corrupted institution of the church itself, destruction of native culture and history (which in some cases is happening to this very day).
Now, what is appealing in paganism. It is a faith that grew with the people, it is integral part of them and defines who they are. The thing you mentioned about the heretige and culture, native faith (paganism) sanctifies it. To the extent I would even say protects it. It is unique to certain grup and only that grup. Is this how the things are currently with the pagan/paganism? No absolutely not and I understand how rotten and subverted the communities of neopagans are.

2020-02-03 23:31:33 UTC

Just my opinion.

2020-02-03 23:44:57 UTC

I will be hitting the hay so unless I'm not sleeping I will respond.

2020-02-03 23:55:36 UTC

Paganism was adopted at some point

2020-02-03 23:56:02 UTC

Christianity has grown with European civilization

2020-02-03 23:56:33 UTC

Of course paganism covers a broad region of religions bit still you know what I mean

2020-02-03 23:56:50 UTC

And so what if paganism grew with Europe

2020-02-03 23:56:56 UTC

What matters is what is true

2020-02-03 23:57:05 UTC

Your soul is in the balance

2020-02-04 00:02:12 UTC

As paganism I referre to old faith/native faith. Wicca is retarded, I don't need anyone to convince me. As to the truth, I would be great If at least one side had an ounce of it more to tip the scale in my head but for me at least on both sides is as much truth and lies.

2020-02-04 00:03:04 UTC

But Skellington, Paganism did also grow with Europe look at the greatest of achievements by the European people under those Pagan Deity's. Yes sometimes it did get quite decadent, But so has Christianity. We mustn't forget that many Pagan days of worship and Gods have been incorpated within our faith today. Not only that what drove our people (Germanic, Slavic, Celtic etc) into these area's?. The Pagan gods did and the core principles they taught. Not only that our ancestors i think were that of enlightened beings. Even though i am a Christian and worship Christ as my savior and redeemer, I accept that these gods were not evil but were examples for the Archetypes that influenced the warrior spirit of the European.
