I didn’t know he had his own server
I am part of it but I never go on
Terilien makes a really good point
traditional Christianity is by far the most anti-faggot religion
which probably stems from the holy family
uhhh what about that religion whose adherents throw them off buildings?
They aren't ideologically against it and they have a lot of loop holes
Like in Iran where gay men are put under transitional surgery, or perhaps I’m thinking of a different country
Islam does things because Allah tells them to be there isn't an underlying philosophy
@Zemo yeah that’s Iran
Epic
ay, another stalingrad episode
I knew it was either Iran or Iraq, some Islamic country
The ayatollah read siege
BaseD
interesting idea from Argent, the difference between a religion of philosophy and religion of laws
both have laws and philosophy
i dont get it
the difference is rule lawyering. you need to know the reasons behind things. ie there are places in the islamic world where prostitutes will marry their clients for an hour or whatever and the client pays a "dowry" for her services
in order to stay in accordance with islamic law
that shows she isint really interested in the morals or reasons behind why one should have sex within a marriage
its just a loophole
I remember when my uncle was a marine in Iraq he would sometimes question the AQI members they would capture he would sometimes ask them questions he asked them what 2+2 is and they would say “whatever allah wills it to be”
Skellington is correct on the difference
or how they throw gay men off buildings but princes will diddle little boys
To a Christian it would be sinful to even consider the idea of tricking God or finding loopholes. You wouldn't even think about it in the first place.
In the Islamic and Judaic faiths, similar to the old Hebrew tradition, there is a lot of this rules lawyering and such.
im not educated enough to give reasons why islam as a religion is like that
In Christianity you know by philosophy that gay sex is wrong and there's no amount of loopholing and lawyering that can make it not so.
but the difference is between understanding the spirit or the letter of the law
yeah
Not all of islam is lawyering, but I agree that most of it is
actually if i remember
sargon did a good video about this a long time ago
comparing the 7 deadly sins vs the islamic equivelent
showing that the 7 deadly sins were about principles
I remember a sotry my mother told me about a Turk sitting under a roof drinking a lot of alcohol
Apparently he said that Allah can't see him under the roof
I also remember when he was in Afghanistan he told me about another situation like this you guys are talking about
Sufi islam seem to have a philosophical structure
whereas the islamic equivalent is more about following specific rules or actions
He said in some of the villages there would only be a few women so sometimes men would get passed around instead
