Also @JoeyJoestar1337 are you seeking a bible?
Used to be traditional, now they're just "current pope is bad, therefore we can do whatever we want".
Hmmm
For some reason I've become remarkably depressed these past few days.
No reason in particular?
Just flat despair?
I prefer my local SSPX chapel over my even more local Novus Ordo
I can think of a few reasons, just rather pathetic ones.
I had a tremendous night with friends on Saturday, and it's quite upsetting upon realising that such an occasion won't be replicated soon.
I have a bad habit of doing that after good times (trips, nights out, etc).
I'll just cocoon myself, and wallow in my own loneliness.
😄 don't be sad that it's over buddy
Be glad that it happened
And look forward to the day it happens again
All very true, but depression is a rather irrational feeling.
I get that
I'm sure it's something I'll get over soon enough, but for now, it's rather crippling.
Like I don't get that sort of feel after a party or social outing, it's more during where I feel like I shouldn't be there and everyone there secretly hates me
That happens too.
The human mind can often be very irrational, but it's not just a matter of telling yourself to "get over it".
I recall a sermon that my old parish priest gave.
He spoke about life being a wheel, which kept on spinning.
At the top of the wheel is tremendous happiness, and at the bottom is dreadful sadness.
If one were to run towards the top of the wheel to achieve tremendous happiness, they would soon find the wheel turning down to dreadful sadness (which, eventually, would turn to tremendous happiness again).
The moral of his sermon is that one should sit in the middle of the "wheel" as it were.
Which, of course, is a state of contentment.
It seems as if I had ran towards the top of the wheel lately, and now I am experiencing the inevitable turn towards the bottom.
Anyway, that's enough stonerposting from me tonight.
@vhozonian forgot to tell you about this video. I found it in yotube playlist.

what are prayer ropes?
They're the eastern rite equivalent of a Rosary.
Huh interesting, I'll have to look into them more then
Just resist Orthodox heresies and you'll be fine.
Keep a picture of the Lamb of God, the Immaculate Heart, and the Assumption of Our Lady in your bedroom.
In the end, I could never become eastern rite. I love the culture of the counter-reformation too much.
I don't consider the Counter-revolution to be the be-all-and-end-all, personally.
I mean, adherents to the spirit of the counter-reformation aren't the only counter-revolutionaries.
I'm sure our brothers in the east are equally as opposed to the cultural revolution as we are.
