The extension of the tentacle in the unclean one becomes thicker in the added part. That shouldn't happen.
indeed, i'm going to cut it into shape after it's dried
this is my first sculpting job so it can't be perfect
got any tips for it?
For the painting, I recommend you slightly tint the wash you use in different areas
Slightly changing the color in areas adds a lot
Can you explain it for retards?
yeah she doesn't get it
Tint it in what way kinda deal
Random internet image:
Observe the cheeks are a bit redish
Some other areas, greener
Darker areas should be a bit blueish
yeah, but you see, i'm not nearly as good as you
i can't use the fancy schmancy techniques
That depends on how well you manage watered down paint. You can alter the color of the wash as you apply it
you can also try to add a layer of very watered down paint to add a bit of color to some areas
how bout these
The weapons are actually the part that displeases me the most, quite flat
One thing is rusty weapons
Another one, 100% brown ones
completely agree
but these figures tortured me
a lot of stuff went wrong at the start
so i finished em up real quick
For quick finish of some kinds of miniatures, consider chipping medium, or pigments
what would the chipping medium do?
It works this way:
You first paint with a base of rust-color paint
Then you apply a layer of chipping medium (usually with airbrush)
Then you paint with the normal paint
Then you slightly rub with a brush, and bits of paint will chip off
Can you apply chipping medium with a brush as a last resort?
yeah got a broken airbrush
happened during the orks
I don't really know if a brush can be applied
greenstuffworld sells lots of products for having fancy miniatures in a minimal time, that is their audience
