what a strange way to see it
how do you deal with apocrypha books then?
I think it's more important for all Christians to be unified than to agree on every tiny matter of theology.
since the Church was the one to compile the Bible
when you deny it's authority
you deny the veracity of the scriptures
Hmmm
Well
also
You're going to probably think this is heretical
what was the name of that book
that denied sola scriptura
that luther wanted to get rid of again
the name eludes me
was it Luke?
oh sorry, what were you gonna say m8
I don't put too much stock in any one written book
hmm well m8
that does sound heretical
you were right
so you're saying
you deny the veracity of every single written book in the Bible
what are your basis for your beliefs then
Neh you got me wrong
So obviously things like Genesis and the books of Moses are basically required
There's an overarching theme that seems pretty apparent from then to the time of Christ
Everything in the Bible fits in to that theme
So I don't really worry about their "veracity" in a direct sense
They are true on a deeper level
what do you worry about then
All that I've read of the Apocrypha seems to fit just as well
As well as lots of wisdom texts from other cultures
so you could take the apocrypha books as equally legit as the ones on the Bible?
Well
What do you mean when you say apocrypha
Are we talking about the books that Luther Yeeted or things like the gospel of Judas
like the gospel of Judas
Oh nah
no one should take Luther's nonsense seriously
Most of them are straight whack
