There's a few reasons

Mostly because I look at the Catholic Church and see just another denomination

I think it's more important for all Christians to be unified than to agree on every tiny matter of theology.

you deny the veracity of the scriptures

Neh you got me wrong

So obviously things like Genesis and the books of Moses are basically required

There's an overarching theme that seems pretty apparent from then to the time of Christ

Everything in the Bible fits in to that theme

So I don't really worry about their "veracity" in a direct sense
