Also, like I had said the other night, I am talking more about trads in general than you specifically. In fact I am more concerned about the general than you specifically because I don't want to be in any way judge of your own character. The reason I'm asking you why you posted the article at all is because I want to know why you posted it from your own perspective.

But to explain what I mean by spreading the scandal is simply that by sharing the article you are participating in it's circulation. And if you think that just because we're all mostly trads here means that we're not susceptible to scandal (though I don't believe you do) then you'd be mistaken; trads are often very susceptible to scandal and despair, especially when they are focused on the bad things in the Church.

Should the Pope be less vague about all this? Probably, but that's not likely going to change because of trads bitching like we are want to do. And quite honestly I don't think most trads online would stop bitching unless he turned into a perfect pope in their eyes. One need only look at how we purity spiral *without* any real authority.

I don't consider myself a <<trad>>, because not only do I not care for a moment about so called aesthetics nor care for the vain desire of returning to older ages, I merely try to adhere to our ancient teachings and show reverence to the Lord; yes, I'm not a fan of Novus Ordo, but because it basically is an excuse for the highest level of irreverence, not because I want and epic medieval cathedral and girls covering their faces out of, again, vanity.

I posted it because I sincerely believe this goes a bit beyond the usual Francis nonsense, as I said, one thing is to have a completely silly opinion, but when you start to mess with the Sacred Body of Christ like it's something out of protocol, that there actually annoys me and I shared it here to see what you people thought of it, not in a spirit of animosity.

I don't even think anyone here calls himself trad, in fact very few have any actual access to the Extraordinary Rite, but we do share this channel with the Protestants and the Orthodox and a prompt response would've been welcome to see what kind of reactions would it have caused.

Again, back to the trads thing, I honestly don't like them, because they have their faith in the material part of the Church, I could even assure you that most would have not cared about the Eucharist being given to these people because they don't seek God, but a love of the aesthetics.

I don't think I'd go that far against trads, although I do agree with you that often many trads care more about aesthetics than they really ought to. And I do agree with Fr. Chad Ripperger that the majority of trads are actually modernist.

Yes, abuse of the Holy Sacrament in any manner, but especially under the watch of those who should be protecting the Holy Sacrament, is a tragedy, and this should cause us sorrow and righteous anger. However I still don't think we should share the news of the abuse unless as a call to action - usually prayer.

The reason for this is of course to limit the reaches and spread of scandal, because every time we post these articles it is an invitation to scandal both for those who read them, but also for ourselves.
