still, It'll be a long time before I can move to a place like that
I need to work for the next few years to save money, and after that I want to go back to engineering school

One of the things I keep in mind is Chesterton's saying, that pessimism is the greatest sin. So I always try to keep myself and others out of pointless pessimism.

I think at 22 you should already have a family but that's just my Eastern European backwardness.

cost of living here has been getting crazy for the past few years
and really, it's been getting out of control since we enetered the new millenium
fwiw, I work as a composite technician in the aerospace industry
so, I guess that is at least slightly more prestigious than a job in fast food or retail
