We're currently faced with a clergy that is almost completely the result of Vatican II boomerism, and everyone is seeing how much nonsense some of it is and are naturally gravitating towards tradition. The current clergy are only mortal and cannot be priests forever, so when their time is at hand, the next wave of Priests and cardinals will be massively reactionary, which will draw people into other vocations.
