I read Maistre's on the Pope recently, he has quite a lot of very good arguments in defense of the papal primacy

Unless you want to point out that, like the orthodox Church, the Roman Catholic Church is a communion of multiple autocephalous churches - for the Latin Church itself is just one of many particular churches sui iuris

living in Russia and knowing a bit of their tradition, he could even underline that even their liturgy supported this (in the notes it is stated that the "papist" hymns were removed a couple of years after the publication haha)
