I work in a family owned Fab shop

2018-09-23 02:07:03 UTC

We have a slight turn over rate, only because welders here move on after a few months to several years

2018-09-23 02:07:21 UTC

My area alone got rid of 3 welders

2018-09-23 02:08:12 UTC

Not that bad compared to where I work.

2018-09-23 02:08:40 UTC

Where I work, 8 people quit within the three months I was there, and that was just in my specific position in the line.

2018-09-23 02:09:56 UTC

We had close to 8 quit on us in the entire plant

2018-09-23 02:10:33 UTC

Yeah a lot less worse

2018-09-23 02:14:32 UTC

I worked at one place for a year, only to realize I was one of the longer working guys there.

2018-09-23 02:15:10 UTC

Yeah that's about where I work

2018-09-23 02:39:11 UTC

my last job we had 3 rotations within the span of 8 months I was working there

2018-09-23 05:17:10 UTC

@GodFearingEnglishman#2718 I like romeo y julietas

2018-09-23 16:31:26 UTC

So Yeah, Berlin's a hole.

2018-09-23 16:53:25 UTC

?

2018-09-23 17:02:58 UTC

I'm here on business and I just don't like the place.

2018-09-23 17:03:06 UTC

Just makes me think of London tbh.

2018-09-23 18:53:30 UTC

Not surprised

2018-09-24 00:03:36 UTC

Who here does intermittent fasting

2018-09-24 00:25:59 UTC

*recieve their reward already*

2018-09-24 00:26:39 UTC

Its probably a good idea- for your spiritual life-- resisting temptation

2018-09-24 01:09:05 UTC

Define intermittent fasting

2018-09-24 01:12:15 UTC

Intermittent fasting is so great aaaa. When I’ve got a good routine (in general) going, it’s a super helpful thing to have as part of my routine. I just haven’t decided whether skipping food for the first part of the day and eating later in the afternoon is better for me, or if it’s better to have breakfast and lunch and just not eat again until the next morning.

2018-09-24 01:13:46 UTC

It’s definitely easier to not eat when I wake up and prolong that as long as I can, but then I’m more likely to eat to much in the evening

2018-09-24 01:14:33 UTC

Too* much

2018-09-24 01:16:10 UTC

But I think it’s probably better for me personally to start my day with food, so I’ll just have to learn how to deal with the night cravings better

2018-09-24 01:37:34 UTC

For me it would be easier to skip breakfast and just have a cocoa or coffee

2018-09-24 03:45:14 UTC

Black coffee helps

2018-09-24 18:26:37 UTC

"Your Excellency! If there is one thing worse than drinking a bottle of Bourbon every morning before breakfast, then it is NOT drinking a bottle of Bourbon every morning before breakfast!"
- Hans Urs Von Balthasar writing to Bishop Fulton Sheen, September 24, 1962

2018-09-24 18:47:50 UTC

That's probably the only good thing that man ever said.

2018-09-24 19:32:37 UTC

Eat in the afternoon

2018-09-24 19:32:42 UTC

And eat once

2018-09-24 20:06:12 UTC

No reason to do so.

2018-09-24 20:06:40 UTC

Eat and enjoy your God-given nourishment three times a day.

2018-09-24 20:07:15 UTC

It's the intermittent fasting meme

2018-09-24 20:07:50 UTC

I imagine there are a fair few folks in /rel/ who take it seriously.

2018-09-24 20:08:28 UTC

Said folks also see themselves as 14th century monks, though.

2018-09-24 20:09:32 UTC

Tfw want monasticism but also want wife and kids

2018-09-24 20:10:16 UTC

Just don’t be a monastic without holy orders.

2018-09-24 20:10:37 UTC

So many laymen who LARP as monastics, and it pisses me off.

2018-09-24 20:10:57 UTC

Of course, there is nothing wrong with discipline in your daily life.

2018-09-24 20:11:09 UTC

But only to a certain extent.

2018-09-24 20:12:58 UTC

I want ascesis regardless
Not dumb enough to try hesychasm or anything though
