Not really, no.

But at the time in the UK, tuition wasn't quite as ridiculous as it is now.

So it means I got a decent sized loan to use on, say, a housing deposit, at a much cheaper rate of interest. And I'm currently paying back my loan from my salary at a rate quicker than the accrument of interest.
