Could you imagine that today?

2019-02-26 10:29:32 UTC

Have you ever spoken to a member of your Senate or Parliament in person?

2019-02-26 10:29:38 UTC

Every easter the Austrian Emperor invited the homeless for a feast

2019-02-26 10:30:00 UTC

I mean, I have, but that's because I was a local party member at one point, but point taken

2019-02-26 10:30:26 UTC

Could you imagine a President or a Prime Minister inviting people for a feast?

2019-02-26 10:31:26 UTC

Every city will have a Duke

2019-02-26 10:31:45 UTC

thus their will not be much distance between the state and the people

2019-02-26 10:31:57 UTC

I believe in large but local government

2019-02-26 10:32:44 UTC

Amen to that

2019-02-26 10:33:07 UTC

How familiar are you with the Liecthenstinian constitution?

2019-02-26 10:33:15 UTC

Not very

2019-02-26 10:33:20 UTC

You should read it

2019-02-26 10:33:31 UTC

I'm familiar with Greek and Russian societies and I want to emulate them

2019-02-26 10:33:36 UTC

And just read up on LIecthensteins political system

2019-02-26 10:33:45 UTC

I will, thank you brother

My politics are basically feudalism + Distributism

2019-02-26 10:35:45 UTC

Makes sense enough to me

2019-02-26 10:37:58 UTC

It seems slightly self-conflicting when you say it like that, seeing as how feudalism is almost by definition an elitist system, whereas distributism is more proletarian, but since you consider power positions to be another good which can be distributed it makes sense enough

2019-02-26 10:39:00 UTC

Which sounds like it has similarities to what Liechtenstein has today

2019-02-26 10:39:32 UTC

Also

2019-02-26 10:39:42 UTC

The Dukes are able to declare war on each other

2019-02-26 10:39:47 UTC

If the Monarch approves

2019-02-26 10:40:01 UTC

This keeps the kingdom from growing soft

2019-02-26 10:40:25 UTC

It's a constitutional monarchy, but the monarch can shut down parliament if he sees fit, but the people can vote out the king, and all villages have the right to leave the kingdom by vote.

2019-02-26 10:40:42 UTC

Socrates was poor yet still got into the council of Athens

2019-02-26 10:44:00 UTC

Could you imagine that happening today?

2019-02-26 10:44:13 UTC

In this society?

2019-02-26 10:44:17 UTC

Naw man

2019-02-26 10:44:23 UTC

Peasants knew who their Dukes were

2019-02-26 10:44:31 UTC

and regularly met with them

2019-02-26 10:44:37 UTC

and attended Church with them

2019-02-26 10:44:52 UTC

now they're occulted in obscurity

2019-02-26 10:44:59 UTC

Due to the massive smoke screen of the media

2019-02-26 10:45:09 UTC

Today all government officials are spoilt plutocrats without religion
