What denom are you and why?
Lutheran and a lot of reasons
Let me copy and paste
Rome is a joke lol, but I'll give you a rundown on the EO
BGOME ORDODOX
:DDDDDDD
1) I cannot reconcile much EO doctrine to either scripture or early tradition, namely
-Over-emphasis of the will
-Under-emphasis of depravity
-Over-emphasis on works
-Under-emphasis on grace
-Heyschasm
-Palamism
-Overblown Theosis (I prefer Christification: see Jordan Cooper)
-Liturgy not in the native tongue
-Over-veneration of icons and saints
-Over-emphasis on asceticism
-Over-emphasis on mysticism
-Over-emphasis on intercession of saints (or just the practice in general, really. If anyone does this "correctly," it would be the Anglicans or Anglo-Catholics IMO, not that I agree with it in general)
-Over-emphasis on tradition, which I love, but cannot place to any level close to the scriptures
-Lack of objective assurance of salvation
-Numbering/nomenclature of sacraments (though I actually agree with practicing Chrismation, though I think it should be included at confirmation additionally, and I agree with Holy Unction and anointing at Marriage and Ordination)
2) I don't buy the "unchanged" tradition idea for a number of reasons, including, but not limited to:
-Different regions have different traditions (Georgian, Russian, Greek)
-Different churches have different traditions that all claim to have unchanged traditions (RCC, EOC, OOC, Nestorians)
-I do not see many of the current traditions matching with the ante-Nicene church
3) I do not agree with how the scriptures are categorized in the Synod of Jerusalem, namely:
-The idea of homologoumena, antilegomena, apocrypha, and pseudepigrepha is lost in this synod for the most part
-As an example, 3 Maccabees should not be at the same level as the homologoumena IMO
We all know that faith without works is ded
Yes, nobody disagrees with that
Sola fide doesn't deny thta
BTW what is your other 3/4
3/4?
