I did look at the topic positions a while ago
Okay
Maybe sometime we should discuss them and where you sit, maybe we can move eachother closer to each other’s views

Possibly
Best to find ways to unite and find allies, if not, we may be running in opposition to eachother, would rather the prior tbh
But its also important to consider one anothers back ground, I come from Missouri, a more or less former Confederate state, so naturally I gravitate to that more
The people must unite, it’s the titles and progressives that have moved us so far apart
Even as a hard core Conservative, I wont put everything on the progressives
I'll admit, even we have pushed each other away from them, as they pushed us away from us
(Worded that funny)
Thats why I see a proper divorce as a one all be all solution
GG @Smug Usagi (CEO of the moon), you just advanced to level 3!
Obviously you can't make everyone happy
You feel me from my stance @Jonathan The Shaman?
Who really gains anything in a nation*
My point is, large scale multicultural nations don't gain much, ever
Sure, if they're multicultural because of forced immigration
The only reason Switzerland lasted is because there population is like only 10 million
the only proof people need is Sweden
an incredibly racially homogeneous nation for a very long time
some economic blunders, but culturally speaking ***very*** successful.... until forced immigration by the gubment
Not necessarily immigration, just culture that developed over time. Obviously even here in Missouri, we act different from the true north and often prefur people from say Arkansas or Kentucky, while people from iowa make us uncomfortable
Like just coming from a American perspective
Wheres it on a much larger scale
culture that develops over time is generally natural, the local population can socially reject people who refuse to assimilate
people work out their differences voluntarily
when government incentivizes people to migrate to an area for the exact wrong reasons, we observe **significant** problems
I wouldin't mind keeping a alliance if America did split, I kinda feel like we would actrully be more united that way.
Like a divorce couple who decided to remain friends, and are actrully better at that than lovers.
We've seen that last part twice now, the last thimg you mentioned
When people from the south went settled Missouri, and crossed paths with Kansas folk, and again now with Calafornia people immigranting to Texas
It didn't end well the first time
At our founding we were closer than we have been since, now, we are more divided than ever before, with more groups, sub groups, infighting, divisive language, and hate, then ever before
I agree
