exactly why I think Jesus has a middle eastern/persian/arabian compelxion...

2019-09-12 02:15:42 UTC

Thinking geographically and time wise, Jews were Arabic to black in complexion

2019-09-12 02:15:47 UTC

So yeah

2019-09-12 02:16:01 UTC

But definitely not white like an Italian

2019-09-12 02:16:06 UTC

the geography as well as the catholic church subbing in the white jesus as supposed to the real, middle eastern jesus to appeal to the romans aesthetically when christianity was formally introduced and legitimized in the roman empire

2019-09-12 02:16:57 UTC

It was for appeal I do agree, just find it funny how many white supremacist don’t know this that are Christian

culture > genetics, even though genetics can sway ones cultural semblances, history has shown multiple races can belong to similar cultures with similar values

What was the name of the country who’s emperor had a baptism done to turn the national religion from pagan to Christian?
Their flag was purple, in Asia I believe closer to Europe

2019-09-12 02:19:51 UTC

True, but, there are drawing and records that prove that

2019-09-12 02:22:06 UTC

of course politics and other social affairs get in the way of any sort of societal harmony in this day and age... its a tragedy what damage the authoritarian narrative peddlers have done in this world... 😟

JLY guys, hang in there and pray for the best

2019-09-12 02:22:57 UTC

True, but do you know the name of that country airwolf?

2019-09-12 02:23:56 UTC

2019-09-12 02:24:11 UTC

2019-09-12 02:26:27 UTC

Just looked it up, it’s the Byzantine empire @ThatPreciseBloke

2019-09-12 02:26:58 UTC

yeah after some remembering i remembered it was byzantium, or what because of the eastern roman empire after the sack of rome

2019-09-12 02:26:58 UTC

GG @ThatPreciseBloke, you just advanced to level 3!

2019-09-12 02:27:28 UTC

Okay, I only learned about them from total war medieval 2

2019-09-12 02:27:32 UTC

Liked playing them

2019-09-12 02:28:58 UTC

yee they pretty much influenced the spread of orthodox christianity to eastern europe and most of the middle east before islam became a thing around 600-700AD

they did become authoritarian though, probably to fend off the pagan gauls and the beginning of the middle ages in the west, and many witch hunts were did until the ottomans took over the balkans, iberian peninsula and almost all the way to central europe has it not been for the polish hussars

2019-09-12 02:30:20 UTC

Fair enough, it’s was an interesting part of history to me, it’s basically the most famous baptism I know of, short of John the Baptist if I remember correctly

2019-09-12 03:06:10 UTC
