I just heard something on the radio here. Seems a small time rival business has called me out on the air waves. I was caught entirely off guard. Made accusations that my business did shotty work and that my customers were pissed off. So my first thought was to counter that with an announcement that there is no way that could be possible sense I don't deal with small time or individual customers. This AD would only effect me if I did walk in small orders but I do not and never have. Last I checked my customers haven't complained and they have various ways to do this and yet my business isn't even listed online to be rated sense I don't do that level of work for individual reviews.

I'm not sure if I should just ignore this or set them straight. I contacted all my customers to get them to review my work and the only bad review wasn't even that bad, they just said that it exactly as ordered and nothing to note.

Some of them seemed confused that I even asked until I explained the radio ad.

It's not like that city's opinion of me matters as my customer base isn't them.

I’d ignore it unless it actually affects you, then I’d have the customer reviews ready to show, and good point on the customer base

I've seen those media shows where they go and "Investigate" bad businesses. I just don't want that kind of attention based off such an accusation. I don't want any attention as many here and other places would recognize me if it did hit the news and that would be very bad.

I take great value in my anonymity here on discord and the internet as a whole. It's why I've never invited anyone here to my place or suggested it as my paranoia developed as a result of previous incidents in the past.

For now I'll say nothing and watch what happens, but if some news agency shows up, I'll have no choice but to relocate should my face or location be reviled on the news.
