I ghettorigged my already ghetto desk further

2019-01-14 04:34:21 UTC

I chopped it in half with my circular saw and added legs from IKEA to it to make another table out of it, so now I have two reasonably sized desks in my room instead of one that takes the entire length of the room

Productive Sunday <:wholesomethonk:373550351082848267>

2019-01-14 05:22:31 UTC

nice setup matt

2019-01-14 05:25:28 UTC

It's ghetto but it's comfy

2019-01-14 05:37:41 UTC

Ghetto... Thats like bad part of detroit during its darkest moments, ghetto

2019-01-14 05:39:19 UTC

Cost of solid core door at Habitat for Humanity: 8 dollars
Cost of each leg: 4 dollars

2019-01-14 05:39:33 UTC

Ghetto is where they kept the jews

2019-01-14 05:39:34 UTC

total cost: $40 for 2 solid tables

2019-01-14 05:40:15 UTC

Question remains, why you didnt buy 2 doors to get actualy usefull workingplace

2019-01-14 05:40:38 UTC

Because they're fucking huge, my man

2019-01-14 05:40:47 UTC

And it's not a workshop, it's an office

2019-01-14 05:41:02 UTC

I play videogames and maintain my guns in here

2019-01-14 05:41:03 UTC

that's all

2019-01-14 05:41:29 UTC

I used to same thing when i got my 120cm table

2019-01-14 05:41:44 UTC

And now i want 2m one

2019-01-14 05:42:30 UTC

There just aint enough room for all my stuff ;__;

2019-01-14 05:42:42 UTC

And since I'm planning on selling my house and moving sometime this year, It's that when that happens I'll be able to just unscrew the legs and throw the actual tabletops away and replace them when I get to where I'm going

2019-01-14 05:43:16 UTC

Similarily what i do with sofas

2019-01-14 05:43:32 UTC

Buy then from redcross/similar places

2019-01-14 05:43:52 UTC

Give em back when i move towns

2019-01-14 05:44:39 UTC

I'd say 3/4 of my furniture is either IKEA, nigger-rigged, or taken from the curb when others were throwing it out

2019-01-14 05:44:58 UTC

the other 1/4 is hand-me-downs from gf's family

2019-01-14 05:46:57 UTC

So when we finally move, The things we aren't throwing away we can break down to be smaller

2019-01-14 05:47:18 UTC

matt, just wondering

2019-01-14 05:47:24 UTC

do you handload your ammo?

2019-01-14 05:48:19 UTC

No, I don't have the patience for things like that

2019-01-14 05:48:43 UTC

Next sacrifice will be the current bed tho

2019-01-14 05:49:08 UTC

I probly need to replace it in next few years

2019-01-14 05:49:16 UTC

i got an ikea wardrobe to replace my broken one

2019-01-14 05:49:20 UTC

Or at least during new move

2019-01-14 05:49:22 UTC

it works admirably well

2019-01-14 05:50:06 UTC

Yeah ikea stuff works usualy above average for the price

2019-01-14 05:50:19 UTC

Ikea furniture isn't bad at all in terms of aesthetics or function

2019-01-14 05:50:22 UTC

But the wood quality is shit

2019-01-14 05:50:33 UTC

it'll just fall apart if you jump on it or whatever

2019-01-14 05:50:41 UTC

who the fuck jumps on a wardrobe?

2019-01-14 05:50:42 UTC

And their beds should be avoided at all cost

2019-01-14 05:50:53 UTC

I have an IKEA bed and I've had no problems at all
