The white dude could have just... Not answered. I've been to Taiwan many times and local guys will sometimes give you the looks, ram you, spit on the ground or stuff like that

Then you just have to be secure of yourself and ignore it

You must really keep the circumstances in mind

Sometimes it looks like the average Taiwanese man is unable to understand the concept of a white man loving a Taiwanese woman

If they see a white man with a Taiwanese woman, they assume he's either yellow fever or a loser who can't find a white one

They also assume she only dates him for his race and/or western wealth

The fact, that two people from different races might simply unconditionally love each other is not taken into account at all

So since you can't argue with someone who holds such a strong and biased opinion since he's not going to just listen to you anyway
