Ooh

2018-02-15 18:29:17 UTC

Well that makes sense

2018-02-15 18:29:28 UTC

FeelsVoltletMan

2018-02-15 18:31:56 UTC

You're a german, you can just plug in the cheaper 220v

2018-02-15 18:32:57 UTC

110v burger feels are bad feels

2018-02-15 18:33:22 UTC

*cheaper*

2018-02-15 18:33:35 UTC

That's really relative

2018-02-15 18:34:00 UTC

I got that induction plate on 11.11

2018-02-15 18:34:09 UTC

Could never consider cooking with anything else anymore

2018-02-15 18:34:18 UTC

It's so fucking nice

2018-02-15 18:34:33 UTC

It's really different worlds, people who haven't tried it can't imagine

2018-02-15 18:35:29 UTC

Yeah but 110v models are bigger and need to have a lot more componants so they cost 1.5 more stateside.
@porco yeah, I fiddled with a friends stovetop, near instant and even heating.

2018-02-15 18:36:02 UTC

I will probably remove the whole stove and replace it with a real 400v induction set up

2018-02-15 18:36:07 UTC

Sounds like something i shouldn't try unless i got cash for a new kitchen set

2018-02-15 18:36:29 UTC

But not this year, rather 2019ish

2018-02-15 18:36:38 UTC

Since the one I like is almost 10k

2018-02-15 18:36:47 UTC

Need to wait for my bonus end of FY

2018-02-15 18:37:10 UTC

But really, induction is so beautiful

2018-02-15 18:37:33 UTC

2019?

2018-02-15 18:37:51 UTC

How long is your gf gonna study?

2018-02-15 18:38:26 UTC

April 2019

2018-02-15 18:38:36 UTC

But I'll stay here until at least mid 2020

2018-02-15 18:38:53 UTC

Probably a year more

2018-02-15 18:40:46 UTC

Ah ok

2018-02-15 18:41:29 UTC

It just sounded kinda off paying that much for a tool, when you'll be moving soon after propbably...

2018-02-15 18:45:31 UTC

I have so many big things that I would want to take with me that are irrational to ship over tbh

2018-02-15 18:45:32 UTC

China uses a similar voltage so it should be possible to bring it with him.

2018-02-15 18:48:12 UTC

If you look into freight companies and are willing to wait a long time you can probably bring yoir entire apartment for like 1,500 as lomg as fuel stays this price

2018-02-15 18:50:28 UTC

1500?!

2018-02-15 18:50:54 UTC

You mean like taking a container?

2018-02-15 18:51:22 UTC

Yeah you can rent part of a container through a logistic company

2018-02-15 18:51:46 UTC

Bud of mine brought his stuff to korea to korea for 1k€.
He brought the stuff to hamburg himself tho, maybe you wanna look into that too..

2018-02-15 18:51:59 UTC

I spent a ton of money on my bed and my mattress because I used to have back problems and the mattress made it so much better so I'd like to keep it

2018-02-15 18:52:13 UTC

But it was quite expensive

2018-02-15 18:52:24 UTC

So I would definitely take that with me

2018-02-15 18:52:32 UTC

Then, a lot of electronics

2018-02-15 18:52:40 UTC

Rest or furniture is Ikea so who cares

2018-02-15 18:53:06 UTC

Oh yeah, wrap shit airtight, a lot of containers will cover shit in a thick layer of grease, paint chips and rust powder

2018-02-15 18:54:05 UTC

Wait i know there's a Korean shop and the owner told me his containers arrive in Basel

2018-02-15 18:54:24 UTC

So I guess there must be a viable route... Maybe through the Rhine
