tbh the only positive thing about this era is christian denoms aren't killing each other

i have never gotten that impression from baptists

not from the lay people or even clergy

they have a lot of myth about what catholics do

i couldn't personally be a catholic for theological and social reasons but i am not going to shit on over half of christians over theo disputes

the only real theo disputes i will disavow people for are 1. blasphemy 2. promoting faggotry

Im catholic and am cool with agreeing to disagree for the present time. One of my closest religous friends is a lutheran

disagreeing over transubstantiation or the filioque are not justifications imo for saying the other side can't get salvation or worse yet warring with them

lutherians could easily be in communion with the catholic church

The wars between us did a lot of damage in the short and long term

prots have this really big problem where we get super butthurt over very small doctrinal issues and autistic shit re: predestination

lutherans seem to have churches and rites that reminded me a lot of catholic stuff

but i come from a background of presbyterians

It kinda makes sense since lutherans were the first split form the church and they felt their hand was forced more than anything

we had a nice little church when i was a kid and i remember this huge old bible

but it wasnt ostentatious

The real problem was because of that split people like Calvin felt they could do it too

i went to an anglican church once and it was very catholic seeming

my friends parents, one was a professor, both very liberal

i had to make that video to get my patreon reinstated

i was like 13 or 14 and didnt really know what was going on and went to church with them one sunday and they let me take communion
