its tough because literally nothing in china is creative or original or innovative

from fashion, to technology etc

i cant see a world where people outside of china would enjoy chinese television, movies, or music

because its all bad

Tho chinese historical docudramas are pretty neat if you takw it as largely fiction

so the no ID kids will stay with the grandparents in the country

and the parents go to the cities to work

neon lights + skyscrapers dont make cyberpunk

the government hates the rural parts so they never go there, not even police

so itd be pretty easy to hide in plain sight there

i heard stories of some people commiting crimes on purpose

cause to go to jail you have to have a chinese ID

so if you dont have one, they will give you one

so they will go to jail for a year or something and get an ID on the way out

also, the funeral plots in shanghai are insanely expensive, think like $10,000 just for the land to bury your grandpa

but people are going outside the city in the rural spots and buying apartments

and then they leave their grandparents there

so sometimes youll see apartments and maybe like half are just full of dead bodies and the other half people live in
