When i lived with my wifes family - no one we knew lived with their family (unless retired)

what did i expect from chink culture

all the men were away

and came home once or twice a year for a few days

and even when they were home, they wouldnt be at the house

theyd find any excuse to get away

go to store, go drinking, go sit outside and stare at nothing

this included all the neighbors

(like 150 apartments)

so the whole place was filled with old people, young mothers, and infant children

when my wifes mom came to visit america

she said the streets were dead because no one was outside at tuesday at 8pm

i said its because people are at home spending time with their family

she literally couldnt understand it

the idea of "spending time with family" that isnt eating or making money was quite foreign to her

so you'd say chink gfs are overrated bc they won't want to spend time with you?

the younger people are better

its the old people who are super fucked

the people from culturual revolution and their children

super fucked

younger people WANT to be different

but the older people nag nag nag

and force them to do shit the old ways

so its a bad cycle of no one learning new lessons

my wife is the least chinese person i know (being chinese)

but she isnt immune to the way she was raised

anytime her mom tells her to do some shit, she will push back and say shes being crazy

but in the end, she still ends up doing it

and says its "to prove a point"
