ever since ftdigate made them switch away from fake ftdi ics, yeah

i got a free arduino and i have no idea what to do with it

there was a short period where they'd just get bricked but they're back to being just as good now

if anything your pin headers might be kinda tight

make sure to get one with the through-hole atmega328, not surface mount

that way you only need one arduino and can simply buy a whole bunch of microcontrollers

just treat arduino itself as a programmer for them

i fucking hate programming shit so i never like arduino stuff

also it lets you just take the IC off and put it on at least some perfboard once you're satisfied with the state of your project
