swapped out the 4gb *mechanical* hard drive

with 128gb flash storage

All you need is a standard CF card of any size you like

And just swap

Or get a SD to CF card like I did

Then you just plug it into your computer and iTunes will do the rest

Pretty ingenious. Hipster as fuck though, especially when you break out the old cables.
