Vox Day can be very abrasive so it makes sense if Owen is taking advice from him. I watched Vox Day but heads with the comicsgate group. He did a lot of things that unnecessarily antagonized the comicsgate people when they otherwise would have been friendly with him.

I'm not as familiar with Vox Day, I do know he did something to mess with the nebula awards and made them show their hand as tilting the scales politically.

Then I saw him pop up again when comicsgate started gaining steam. He tried to trademark comicsgate so then he started butting heads with that group
