The only thing I know about Pakman was him 'debunking' the notion that low taxes encourage growth by saying, basically "that's not true because I'm a greedy cunt, and I'll just horde my money rather than hire people.'
My response to that was basically "this is the guy that people cite as the reasonable leftist?" I guess he gets points for not advocating violence as far as I know.
i think he gets that because of his demeanor. he comes across as calm, passive, and articulate. since many ppl dont know enough about his arguments, they make judgments based on appearance. as is many debates
